Patricia’s Story

Patricia McCreary has been an entrepreneur since the age of 19.

She had many ventures in her early years. She was a real estate investor, created multiple direct sales start ups and she helped other striving individuals make their entrepreneurial dreams become a reality. In 2011 she began building the magnificent company Margaret’s Place. This company came from a promise she made at the tender age of 10 to her beloved grandmother, Margaret Brown. Her promise to her grandmother was that when she grew old and needed help Patricia would be there to take care of her. When grandma Brown was diagnosed with Dementia, Patricia vowed to establish a place where the aging and differently-abled could live full and purposeful lives. She promised that the established location would be safe, sanitary, and overflowing with vigor and engaging activities.

Because of her experience with this demographic, Patricia understands that the aging population is growing exponentially and that the established health care system will not be able to meet the needs of the 65 and older and disabled adults. One of her goals as an entrepreneur is to establish a larger facility beyond Margaret’s Place as the gold standard for senior services. That facility is called Utopia Point. Utopia Point will be a full-service experience that houses a state of the art wellness center, outdoor recreation space, kitchen, exercise area, a bath house, roof top deck, a neighborhood cafe and 1 bedroom housing models for assisted living, independent living and VA. This is where more of the aging and disabled population can receive health care-related services and live self-driven lifestyles. This will ensure that they live their best life no matter what their age is. Her underlying goal has always been to redesign the geriatric and disabled care industry so that we all can be excited to age gracefully.
